I Just Don’t Want to Know OK?
I had my ultrasound done last week. I decided, and hubby agreed, that this time around will be a suprise. I want that feeling of the doctor midwife holding up the baby and saying “it’s a bouncing baby ______”.
We found out with my son and it was great. I got to shop and decorate his nursery well in advance. This time, I just want to enjoy the pregnancy, have fun picking out a bunch of boy/girl names and be suprised.
I did have the technician write the gender on a piece of paper and put it in a sealed envelope. A family friend wants to get it so she and her husband can perhaps shop for more gender specific items. I have the envelope in my briefcase but I think I won’t reveal it to anyone! I am not even tempted to peek at the paper:).
For the parents out there, did you find out? Would you be able to not look at the answer if you were carrying it around all day in your bag?????

I HAD to find out with both my boys. But I’m a major planner person-I have to know exactly what to expect. If I ever had another one, I’d probably think about not finding out, just for the fun of it.

i was lucky to find out with both of the twins…but i think I would have enough willpower not to look…but something tells me you want to know…I feel like u kinda wanna know but you are following the will of your husband…and that in itself is wonderful!
i will want to know with my next one…cause I really enjoyed talking to my girls and calling them by name at 4 months of gestation LOL
ACTUALLY, MY HUSBAND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW….IN THIS INSTANCE HE IS FOLLOWING THE WILL OF ME!

my brother chose to wait until his daughter was born. meanwhile, i was mad i didn’t know so i asked my granny, who has a way of knowing these things. she predicted it would be a girl, and she was right.

hey i picked this one to comment on…i didn’t want to know at first but then i thought about it and i want to know so i will know if its a girl. but then i thought about it somemore…amd figured i don’t want to know because the pregnancy was a surprise and i was very upset. so if its a girl that would make things worse for me and i don’t want to go through this pregnancy in a foul mood worse than what it already is. but i’ve gotten better so i think i won’t find out. i anserwed your question on my blog
btw…thanks for stoppin by!!!
I HAD THE SAME KIND OF FEELING WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY SON. MY HUSBAND ALREADY HAD 2 GIRLS AND DESPERATELY WANTED A BOY. IT DIDN’T MATTER TO ME. HE WAS SO PERSISTENT AND ANNOYING IN HITTNG ME OVER THE HEAD WITH WANTING A BOY, THAT I WAS SO DEPRESSED WITH THE THOUGHT OF HAVING A GIRL. I THOUGHT MY HSUBAND WOULD BE SAD, MAD, OR ANGRY IN THE DELIVERY ROOM IF THEY ANNOUNCED A GIRL. THAT IS WHY I FOUND OUT WITH MY SON. I WANTED TO GET HIM USED TO THE IDEA OF A GIRL JUST IN CASE, BEFORE WE WERE IN THE DELIVERY ROOM. THIS TIME AROUND I AIN’T THINKING ABOUT THAT MAN!
