Heeeeee’s Here!

After an unusually long labor for a second pregnancy…36 hours, my little boy is here. He was born Sunday at 2:30am in the birth center. I went in labor Friday evening. There were some minor complications but at the end of the day, everyone emerged healthy and happy! I’ll have to do a birth story later b/c it was something.

We are still finalizing a name but he is just perfect. People are amazed that we are home so soon but that’s how it goes with birth centers and midwives. OMG…am I glad my aunt is here!!! She has been so valuable to me. Anyway, thanks for all of your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I will try to post soon maybe w/ a pic or 2:)

You know how people say, “as soon as he/she was born, I forgot about all the pain”?. BULL!!!! I will NEVER forget the pain. However, I am glad that my baby is here:)

  14. Oh Safa,

I am so happy to hear about the birth of your beautiful baby boy! I thank God that both you and he made it through this miraculous process and are both healthy and happy. I too had a long and painful delivery (29 hours followed finally by a C-section), which I can remember vividly even now almost 17 years later! However, I also know that I would do it again knowing the joys, blessings, and wonders I have experienced solely as a result of having had the miracle of my son in my life. I am sure that your new son like your first son will bring the same realization to your life as well. Rest well, eat well, and enjoy the wonderful blessings that God has honored you and your family with.
