Plate takers
get on my nerves. You know the type - accepts every invitation where food is involved and proceeds to take like 5 plates home. Don’t get me wrong, I love feeding people - more potential blessings. However, this individual begins making heaping extra plates before every other guest has eaten. There have been times when a certain dish ran out and people are short but this person is sitting with a plateful of just meatballs to take home! I mean dag, just because I invite you, doesn’t mean you can get all triflin’ and hoard food to feed your family dinner back at your crib!

That is so ghetto. i know what you mean. i would have been like, um, can you wait until everyone else has eaten, and THEN only take one plate please, i’m not trying to feed all your relatives. shoot. would you believe someone took the smallest tier of my wedding cake home as leftovers? that is so tacky. but some people are just like that.

This story reminds me of someone that used to work in my division. We shared our kitchen with one of the partners who would over cater his lunches and have his assistant put out the left over food in our kitchen. She would then email our team so we could help ourselves. This one woman we worked with would go into the kitchen fix herself a plate and then a second plate or tempaware that she would then put in the fridge before anyone else on the team ate. I know it was left over food but dang at least wait until the majority of our team had a chance to have one piece. Sometimes I’d see her break it out for lunch the next day. lol!

I knew someone who only brought Saran Wrap to functions. So she could always make a plate to go.
