Mondays….Blech!
What are they good for? I know I am not alone in my tiredness and feeling of not enough time in the weekend, blah blah blah. As Bella Noire said, the weekends will always be and have always been 2 days….but still….
My son’s back to school/end of summer party on Saturday was nice. The kids really enjoyed themselves. I was worn down but I guess that comes with the territory. I am just noticing how much food kids waste! I went light on the foold and only served hotdogs and tater tots for lunch…I am so glad I did. Kids are so picky! I felt like my grandmother inspecting plates before they were thrown away.
Back in the day, my grandmother would sit next to the garbage and check to see what food we had left. Forget about fried chicken night…she would literally pull the meat off the bone and try to make us eat it before we could throw it away. The worst part? I do the same thing to my family LOL!!!…puhleeze, my son leaves too much chicken on that leg!
I am going home this weekend insha’Allah (God-willing) to New York. I am looking forward to it. I haven’t been home for several LOOOONG months and I need my fix.
How was your weekend?

I’m glad the party went well. Kids and their food waste never ceases to amaze me. Every little kids’ birthday party I’ve been to sees more cake in the trash than eaten.

I would drive you and your Grandma crazy with the amount of chicken I leave on a bone. As a matter of fact, I don’t eat chicken on the bone because I can’t stand seeing the veins and stuff down near the bone and for that reason I would always get into trouble for leaving “all that meat” on the bone
I hope you have a great trip home, insha’Allah as I just learned from you today
SEE SHARON, TSK TSK…MY STEPDAUGTER TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES TO EAT CHICKEN BECAUSE SHE PICKS AND PEELS ALL THE VEINS OFF THE MEAT!
